Murder on the Dance Floor

This song, like several others in the Raspberry Pie catalog, was written for a specific event, namely a Halloween party thrown at the now defunct Natura Coffee and Tea in Orlando. In those days, Raspberry Pie consisted of just me, Goodwin, and CLYDE, so the arrangement was a bit different than the finished product. Even so, the song was a HUGE hit when we first played it, and only improved with the advent of a funky bass part from Zac, and a KILLER (no pun intended) sax solo from Nick. Based very much in 80s new wave and synth pop, (with a touch of Hall & Oates thrown in), it seemed like the perfect track to kick off the album.
